About Us

IIT Indore located at Simrol, Khandwa Road, Madhya Pradesh, is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India in 2008-09. Recently IIT Indore is ranked 13th amongst all engineering universities and institutions in India and a very impressive debut 2nd rank in India among top 400 global institutions and among top 50 institutions in Asia as per Times World Rankings. The Discipline for Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering (BSBE) at IIT Indore was initiated in 2012 and is a center of excellence that focuses on research in multidisciplinary areas of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering. The BSBE group aims to be internationally recognized in bio-related research and aspires to create an ambience for the smooth pursuit of scholarly activities in research and training, leading to novel innovations, in addition to carrying out fundamental studies in life sciences.

eBBT-2 2020 is announced as a series of conference after the success of eBBT in 2018 organized by IIT Indore. It also forms an integral part of 10 year celebration of IIT Indore. eBBT-2 will provide an excellent platform for exchange of ideas with the leading experts from India and around the world. The focus of this conference is to bring together a group of researchers/faculties/expertise from academia and industry working in the interdisciplinary areas of biosciences and biomedical engineering to discuss recent progress in these areas as well as share ideas on open questions. We especially encourage participation by students, postdocs, and faculties at an early stage of their career and will be assigned oral presentation slots on a competitive basis. The conference includes Plenary talks, Keynote presentations, Oral/Poster presentations, Industry-Academia interactions, and Exhibitions. Also, the symposium will offer an ideal balance of scientific sessions and networking opportunities.
